DESCRIPTION

MC Radio Active is an award-winning Hip Hop artist. An emcee, freestyler, songwriter, and master beatboxer, he embodies and shares the positive energy of Hip Hop culture through his music and art.

Dynamic and versatile, his performances sometimes include musical instruments such as pan flutes or a didgeridoo, the incorporation of electronic beats with his beatbox, freestyle rhymes inspired by the audience, and so much more. In all cases, MC Radio Active’s passion and talent are undeniable, and his shows are fresh, soulful and original. He connects with, inspires and engages his audiences.

Having shared the stage with hundreds of renowned artists around the world – with bands, including several years as a key member of Michael Franti & Spearhead, and as a solo artist -- MC Radio Active masterfully blends the richness and diversity of those experiences into his music and onto the stage.

His accolades are many: collaboration and performance on a children’s Hip Hop album (Secret Agent 23 Skidoo/Infinity Plus One) that won a 2017 Grammy; three-time award winner of Best of the Bay for Best Hip Hop/Electronic and Best Folk/Acoustic Artist; two gold records from his time with Michael Franti & Spearhead; and others.

All ages permitted. No alcohol sold or permitted at venue. Open to the general public.
