Artist Statement
Civil Rights Civil Wrongs juxtaposes racially charged words with images of prominent women and men from the Civil Rights era. It is the artist’s goal to transform today’s casual use of hateful slurs. Viewers are confronted with people who gave so much to eliminate hate by fighting for equality under the law and championing compassion for all.
