Artist Statement
Stand With Survivors is an interactive, cathartic, and healing experience for viewers and artists alike, which honors survivors of sexual violence during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, observed in April. This art exhibit is based on student stories and experiences of sexual assault and intimate partner violence survivorship. Sexual Violence impacts someone in America every 68 seconds. Sac State continuously supports and believes survivors. Stand with survivors and show your support for ending sexual violence in our community, by leaving a supportive message at the exhibit. This exhibit may be emotional for some viewers. If you need sexual violence or mental health support, please visit WEAVE’s Campus Confidential Advocate or Student Health and Counseling Services at The WELL. Please contact weave@csus.edu or Student Health & Counseling Services at 916-278-6461 for additional support information.
