Artist Statement

“What’s Your First Year SuperPower?” photo show is a collaborative effort with First Year Experience, One World, and The University Union Exhibit Lounge. Based on the 2015–2016 One World theme of Power, students, staff, and faculty submitted photos of what gives students power during their first year of college. We hope you enjoy these “powerful” photos!


CALL FOR ENTRIES
 
Who?
First Year Experience (FYE) in support of One World Initiative’s theme “Power.”
 
What?
We want YOU the students to submit photos of anything that made you feel like you had super powers during the first year of college. It could be a person, place, or thing.
 
Why?
Selected photos will be printed and put on display in a photo exhibition on the second floor of The University Union for four weeks.
 
How?
Bring your photos on flash drive to AIRC 4002 or submit them online at www.csus.edu/fye/PhotoShow.html We will print the selected photos for the show!

  • Acceptable file format: .jpg
  • Minimum file size: 2400 x 3000 ppi
  • Deadline for submissions: October 2nd

With each submission you will need to include:

  • Title of piece
  • Your full name
  • Phone and email
  • A one sentence description of how the subject in your photo gave you super power during your first year of college.
