This interactive exhibit asks viewers to consider others’ reasons and then share their own reasons for participating in politics and their communities. As a competition for the most popular representation, viewers vote for their favorite submission.

​SUBMISSION DETAILS

Entries will be accepted at the Political Science Department main office at Tahoe Hall 3104 during a four-day period: Monday, September 23 through Thursday, September 26. The office is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and closed for lunch between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. You can contact the Political Science Department main office at: (916) 278-6202.

Entry deadline is Thursday, September 26 by 4:00 pm. 

  • Open to all students, faculty, staff, and individuals currently associated with Sacramento State.
  • Entries must be original works.
  • No entry accepted for exhibition may be withdrawn before the closing date of the exhibition.
  • Acceptable media includes any permanent material safe for public display.
  • Entries must be two-dimensional. Two-dimensional is defined as any work executed on flat media or sculpture which is designed to be mounted on a wall, is made of a permanent and durable material, and does not protrude from the wall or have protruding parts to the extent which would cause potential harm to the public or the piece.
  • Two-dimensional sculptures will be accepted at the sole discretion of the exhibit organizer.
  • Entries must be ready for hanging with suitable hardware in place (canvasses on stretchers, photographs and works on paper should be framed or clipped behind glass, plexi, or equivalent.)
  • All entries must be dry.
  • If more entries are submitted than can be exhibited in the space, organizers will determine which entries will be displayed. 
  • Exhibit organizers reserve the right to not display any artwork submitted for any reason. 
  • Only entries submitted with a completed submission form will be accepted for display.
