Sacramento State’s The University Union UNIQUE Programs and Residence Hall Association (RHA) are pleased to announce a FREE special movie screening of Captain America: The Winter Soldier at Sacramento State’s Residential Hall Lawn area; Friday, August 29, 2014 at 8:00 pm.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is an action/adventure/sci-fi movie that was released in theaters April 2014 and expected to come out on DVD in September 2014. This film is the sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger (released in 2011).

The story continues after the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers; finding Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly and trying to adjust to the modern world in Washington, D.C. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy – the Winter Soldier.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be screened at Sacramento State’s Residential Hall Lawn on Friday, August 29, 2014; starting at 8:00 PM. Admission is FREE for students and the general public.

All ages permitted. No alcohol sold or permitted at venue.
