DESCRIPTION

Sacramento State University Union UNIQUE Programs is pleased to announce a Wednesday Nooner concert featuring Mr. Hooper, a high hop artist, poet, writer, filmmaker, and producer from Sacramento. This concert will be outdoors at The University Union’s Serna Plaza on Wednesday, October 12th, 2016 at 12pm. This event is free for students and the general public.

Mr. Hooper began rapping in the 80’s with his brother during the human beat box era. The two became a duo, and then extended their group to a crew of human beat boxers. Overtime Mr. Hooper began to create his own music, and brand for himself- then known as Crazy Ballhead. Now he is a well-respected multi-talented, award winning rapper.

Mr. Hooper has made numerous albums that have charted on iTunes, and have been for sale on several music streaming platforms like Amazon, Apple Music, and Google Play. He’s been named “Best Hip Hop Artist” in the 2005, 2006, and 2007 SAMMIES before being inducted into the SAMMIES Hall of Fame. He has also won awards through CBS Sacramento, Sacramento News & Review’s Best of Sacramento and in the Sacramento International Film & Music Festival.
