DESCRIPTION

Sacramento State’s University Union UNIQUE Programs is pleased to announce a Wednesday Nooner concert featuring Average League, a four-piece alternative rock band. The concert will be at the University Union Redwood Room on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 12 pm. This event is free for students and the general public.

Average League was formed in 2013 by Ronald Jackson and Darian Gaultney. They initially toured Sacramento as a two-piece band with a mindset of taking that as far as they could. After recording their album Effort Player in 2014, they added James Rhodes to the band. Since then, their 2014 album has been released on every major online music market. An additional member was added to the group in late-2015 by the name of David Paxson.

Band influences include Nirvana, Fall Out Boy, Rush, and Pantera. Their mix of musical influences come from all over the spectrum. Each band member has been playing since a young age and they all aspire to do something long-term with their music.

Average League also recently won first place in Sacramento State UNIQUE Programs’ Battle of the Bands competition.

All ages permitted. No alcohol sold or permitted at venue.
