DESCRIPTION

Sacramento State’s University Union UNIQUE Programs is pleased to announce a Wednesday Nooner concert featuring hip hop artist, Mr. Hooper. The concert will be hosted at the University Union Redwood Room on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 12 pm. This event is free for students and the general public.

Mr. Hooper (formerly known as Crazy Ballhead) is a SAMMIES award- winning independent rap artist, poet, writer and producer from Sacramento, California. He started his hip-hop journey in the mid 80’s as a pre-teen human beat box (Beat Master Bee) for his older brother’s crew, and has grown to become well respected as a top quality lyric purveyor in the genre.

The Highs and Lows of a Hero For Hire, released in 2014, is one of the best released by Mr. Hooper. The album starts with the late, influential Sacramento poet Kirk Parker, also known as The Screen Master, talking about Mr. Hooper’s music style and what it means.

This event is part of Sac State UNIQUE Program’s Wednesday Nooner concert series. For the full calendar, visit www.SacStateUNIQUE.com or call the University Union Information Desk at (916) 278-6997.
