DESCRIPTION

Sacramento State’s University Union UNIQUE Programs is pleased to announce a rock n’ roll concert featuring The Old Screen Door, a local Sacramento band. The concert will be at the University Union Serna Plaza on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 12 pm. This event is free for students and the general public.

As enthusiastic musicians, they love making music fun, both for themselves and their fans. The Old Screen Door brings music in which they like to call rock ‘n soul. This style of music has a raw and sizzling sound that spans styles, genres and age. It’s all about fun, movement, joys and experiences that form the band’s life journey.

Some early influences of this band include: Tower of Power, Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Beatles, The Shins, The Black Keys, and RX Bandits.

In 2011, The Old Screen Door exploded onto Sacramento’s music scene. During this year, they focused on bringing the best live music to the fans at local live music venues throughout the area of Sacramento.

Free popcorn will be available for students, while supplies last.

All ages permitted. No alcohol sold or permitted at venue.
